Welcome to the first phase of the NSW Government's initiative to provide comprehensive online business and occupational licence services. Initially, online services are being provided for lodgement of renewal and changes to particulars of Fair Trading business name registrations and licences for motor dealers, travel agents, pawnbrokers and second-hand dealers.
 
Announcements
    BUSINESS NAMES ARE MOVING
    A new national business names registration service is expected to commence on 28 May 2012. The new service will be managed by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and will allow you to register and maintain business names through a single national online register.
    Existing registered business names will automatically be transferred from NSW Fair Trading to the national system and attain a national registration status.
    The final date for lodgement of business name applications with NSW Fair Trading is 22 May 2012. This site will no longer be available after this date.
    Once the new national service has commenced all business names applications must be lodged with ASIC. For more information on the new national business names registration service visit ASIC’s website at http://www.asic.gov.au/business-names
